Michael brings something most floor coating companies simply can't offer: over 30 years of experience in the building industry, combined with formal training as a Quantity Surveyor.
That background matters more than it might sound.
A QS understands buildings from the ground up, literally. Michael reads a concrete slab the way a doctor reads an X-ray. He knows what's underneath, what the substrate needs, where the risks are, and exactly how to prepare a surface so that the coating bonds permanently rather than failing in two years. That knowledge, built over three decades on building sites across the North West, is what separates a Ribble & Stone installation from a rushed, underpriced job.
But here's the thing about Michael: he's not afraid to get his hands dirty. You'll find him on site, grinding, prepping, broadcasting flake, as often as you'll find him doing the quoting and customer work. He believes the person who sells you the job should be the person who cares most about how it's finished. So that's exactly how Ribble & Stone operates.
A lifelong Blackburn Rovers fan and a proud Lancashire man, Michael knows this community. He knows the Ribble Valley, knows the kinds of homes and businesses here, and knows the standard of work people in this area expect and deserve. He's not building a faceless national brand, he's building something local, something he can put his name to, and something his neighbours can trust.
